Description
Plaster of Paris is a versatile medical equipment used for creating casts to support and protect fractured or injured limbs. It is made from gypsum powder and when mixed with water, it forms a paste that can be molded to the shape of the injured body part. Once applied, the plaster hardens to provide support and immobilization for the injured area.
How to use :
1. Prepare the materials: You will need Plaster of Paris bandages, water, a bowl for mixing, and a pair of scissors.
2. Dip the bandages in water: Dip the plaster bandages in water and squeeze out the excess water.
3. Apply the bandages: Wrap the damp bandages around the injured limb, molding and shaping them as needed to provide support and immobilization.
4. Allow the plaster to dry: Wait for the plaster to dry and harden, usually within 10-15 minutes.
5. Remove excess material: Once the plaster has set, trim any excess material with scissors.
